I'm sure you've either all heard about the Bitch Please event happening this Thursday @ Chevelle, or at least seen the pretty little banner at the top of our site.
CapeTownAlive has teamed up with Bitch Please to try and expose their unique cape town event. The concept and history is quite intriguing so we decided to find out more some more details courtesy of the original Bitch Please... Miss Caterina Toffoli.
CTA: Would you rather be a bitch pirate or a bitch outlaw?
CT: A bitch pirate, definitely. Bitch pirates have way more fun, and know how to down a hand grenade faster than any bitch outlaw I know. Plus, we have a naughty nautical fashion sense…
CTA: Who is this bitch please character? Lets be honest she has a extraordinary resemblance to you.
CT: Yes I’ve heard this response many times, now honestly, do you think I would be vain enough to myself on the flyer? Bitch Please…
Haha no but seriously, the girl for each party changes every time, it was just a coincidence this time, I swear.
CTA: What kind of music can we look forward to at this bitch please event?
CT: We are having two dance floors at every party. Anthea, LilPhil, Kosta K and Ryan Murgatroyd will head up the main dance floor which will focus on dance music such as house / electro / fidget / techno. We will also be having special guests Pascal & Pearce banging out the electro madness that they are famous for! The smaller upstairs dance floor will cater to the needs of the commercial crowd. We will be getting in various guest DJs for every party, local and international.
CTA: Tell how us how the Bitch Please concept started?
CT: Well, I started the group on Facebook, “Bitch Please, I’m from Cape Town”, a while ago. It was just an idea to create a group aimed at Cape Town girls based on the fact that Cape Town girls are better than girls from anywhere else, in a very tongue-in-cheek way. We now have a database of over 5000 loyal members, so we decided to make use of it by starting monthly parties for the beautiful bitches of Cape Town!
CTA: If you could be one land, air & sea animal what would they be?
CT: I would be a cat, because they are definitely the bitches of the animal world. A seagull because they hang out on the beach all day and steal chips from tourists. And a sea turtle because they live for like 500 years.
CTA: Where is the best place for a Cape Town girl to party?
CT: Wow, Cape Town has had so many amazing party places in the past, but I would definitely say that the best place to party now, is the newest addition to the party scene, Chevelle. Chevelle is another world when it comes to partying in Cape Town, from the stunning décor to the numerous hidden areas of the club where you can get up to all sorts of mischief. Packed with a rocking music set up, beautiful people and sexy barmen who keep the drinks flying, there really is no comparison! Chevelle is most certainly the place to go if you are looking for an awesome party in true Cape Town style!
CTA: What are your plans for the future?
CT: At the moment we have huge plans for ‘Bitch Please’ as a party brand, as well as branching out into other areas. We will be throwing a party once a month, with the next one scheduled for 25 June. Myself, I would love to take time off and travel soon, to lie under palm trees in Thailand or scale the art museums in Florence. But for now, I’m staying firmly in my beautiful home town of Cape Town.
