Its Bear Trap this weekend and they have something special lined up for us! Ladies and gentlemen get ready for CPU!

Swiss born producer Samy Guediche started playing music at age 12. By 1991 he was already part of the computer revolution and experimenting with electronic technology in his music. In 94, he went to California where discovered trance at the Burning Man Festival. That led to the creation of the trance trio Biodegradable with Mekkanikka and Max from Sirius Isness. In 2002 Samy moved to Barcelona where he started his own hardcore electro psy trance sound now internationally known as CPU. His debut album was released in 2003 on the 3D Vision and CPU tracks like “killer rabbit” and “shot shot walla” could be heard in all dance floors worldwide which became instant planetary psy-trance classics.

The well acclaimed follow up album "Computer Error" in 2004 helped to consolidate Samy’s position amongst the top psy-trance producers as he become a major influence for many of today’s “next generation” producers. It was this creation of a fresh movement of new CPU influenced artists that led Samy to open his label, Nutek Records, a label designed with the CPU sound in mind. Today Nutek hosts artists like Mekkanikka, Painkiller & A-Team.

CPU has released more than 100 tracks on CDs and EPs on more than 25 labels and has performed more than 400 times worldwide in cities as diverse as Tokyo, Sao Paulo, Mexico, Burning Man, Amsterdam and of course, Cape Town!

Samy toured the world many times over and has won a reputation for excellence in live sound and performance, his energy on stage is legendary and his shows are known to electrify even the coldest of crowds.

So the only thing more you need to know is where it is...

For this auspicious event, BEARTRAP returns to the Remanufacture venue. This beautiful resort venue on the west coast is perfect for a weekend of grooving, stomping, swimming and soaking up the sun.

The inclusion of a swimming hole on the dance floor, hot and cold showers, ample shaded camping and it’s fully licensed facilities makes it without a doubt, one of the favourite stomping grounds thus far this season.

Located a little over 100km from Cape Town, the drive is easy along the beautiful, straight west coast road. If you haven’t been there yet, you just don’t know what you are missing!

DIRECTIONS
Take the R27 through Tableview. Travel for approximately 35min past Silverstroom till you reach the Engen West Coast 1-Stop (on your right). The venue is about 3km after that, on your right! Look out for signs!

See you all on Sunday :)
